Volvo has great plans to leverage the current market situation of electric vehicles. So, it aims to release a few electric cars in the coming days. The company is working on the Polestar 1 hybrid plugin. It will enter production at the company’s Chengdu production facility. Similarly, there is the Polestar 2 which will be produced at the automakers’ Luqiao production factory. However, there is also a Volvo Polestar 3 whose design sketches have been revealed publicly. It does look stunning.

The Polestar 3 may be a similar EV like that of the BMW X4. Its manufacturing will be based on Volvo’s SPA platform. The Volvo Polestar 3 may launch around 2021. Of course, this is a long time. Within this timeframe, Volvo may introduce the lineup’s first EV Polestar 1 electric hybrid. It may launch around late 2019 or early 2020. Previously, we have shared that Volvo has set up a new production facility in Shanghai.

Polestar’s CEO says that says he doesn’t like superficial implementation of technology. With the Polestar lineup, they want to bring together technology, usability, and aesthetics. He has compared the Polestar with Apple Inc. Just the way Apple presents its products uniquely, Polestar will follow a similar approach. He believes that Polestar will be unique from all other electric vehicles.
