Tesla is quite steadfast to prove the mettle of the Model S on the Nurburgring track. Recently, a Model S was spotted doing a test run on the popular track. An auto-journalist for the Nurburgring has this footage on his YouTube channel. In the video, the car is doing rounds of the track with all its might.

However, it is not a solo run from Tesla. In the footage, you can see there are other cars on the track as well. The Model S is probably a new performance version of the car.

Last week, Elon Musk announced that the Model S will run on the Nurburgring race track. Tesla indirectly hints that its machines are no less than that of Porsche. Speaking of which, Porsche Taycan already holds a record on the Nurburgring. Apparently, it is the fastest four-door, all-electric sports cars on that track.

From the video, we can see that Model S is grinding it hard on the track. However, it is not really clear whether it will break any previous records. However, recently at the Laguna Seca track, The Model S achieved a new record in the sedan category. The new performance version of the Model S made a lap-timing of 1:36:55.
