Usually, it is said that to achieve your aims you need to push your limits. However, Tesla Model S Plaid probably pushed a bit too harder on the Nurburgring track. And the result.? Well, it broke down on the track. However, what’s interesting is, while the Model S prototype was standstill on the track, a Porsche Taycan whizzed past it. The internet is going gaga over that moment.

However, if we look at it from a technical point of view, the Tesla Model S plaid powertrain is just a prototype. It is not a production variant. Normally, the manufacturers push the prototypes beyond their limits. It is like trying out various stuff on the vehicle to know how it fares in different situations. On a racing track, it’s not a rare sight that cars sometimes break down.

The Taycan is a production variant. In fact, the Taycan had already proved its mettle on the Nurburgring race track. Besides, this was no direct competition between the two brands. It’s one of those regular test runs. Also, in a video we linked below, you can see other cars on the track as well.

The Tesla Model S Plaid Prototype has been doing test runs on the Nurburgring track for quite sometimes. After Taycan’s track record and release, Elon Musk declared to test run a Model S on the popular UK race track.  Also, Tesla installed its official supercharger on the Nurburgring track.
