We have seen some high end and quirky design motorcycles in sci-Fi movies. However, these bikes are now becoming a reality. We are talking about the new electric superbike Arc Vector. Design-wise it looks pretty futuristic. At the same time, it also packs high-end features. Most importantly it is a sustainable bike running on electricity.
The Vector looks no less than any of the high-end IC superbikes we see. There will be a total of 355 bikes which will enter production. so, this means it is a limited edition bike. Mark Truman is the person behind this concept. He was the former head of Jaguar land rover (white space division).

Specifications of Arc Vector
This futuristic machine gets its power from a 99-volt electric motor. It generates 140PS of power and 85Nm of peak torque. The power transmission to the rear wheel happens via a single-speed transmission. It will take the arc vector 3 seconds to go from 0-100 km/h. It has a top speed of 200km/h.
The bike has sturdy built which features carbon-fiber monocoque chassis. The vector comes with a carbon-fiber swingarm, custom Ohlin dampers, and Brembos calipers in the braking system.
Accessories
This is where the concept gets damn interesting. All that you have seen in the Sci-fi movies are getting transformed into reality. Arc is the first motorcycle in the world that comes with integrated multisensory HMI (Human Machine Interface). In simpler words, it has the helmet that will be AI-powered.
The helmet will be Wi-Fi enabled. This kind of helmet is usually termed as Vegeta’s scouter. The shield of the helmet will display various information. It includes the speed of the bike, navigation, and other essential on-ride information.
This is not it. The smart helmet also acts as a keyless ignition system for the Arc Vector electric bike. sounds cool, isn’t it.?
Also, the accessories include one tactile riding suit. This is a riding jacket which provides haptic feedback to the person wearing and riding the vector. The jacket has in-built haptic amplifiers. It may sound like some rocket science ut its working is pretty simple. It does the same job as the vibration signals on your smartphone.
The rider will feel a tap on his shoulder when the jacket will sense a vehicle in a nearby blindspot. The rider can also enjoy music from the jacket’s embedded speakers. So, we are looking at a multipurpose jacket. Other mechanicals includes a carbon-fiber swingarm, custom Ohlin dampers, and Brembos for its braking system.
Performance
The Vector can ride up to 320 km on a single charge. It packs a 16.8kWh, Samsung battery pack. the battery can be completely replenished in only half an hour. On the highways, it can cover up to a range of 200km. The bike has a low center of gravity. This helps in providing smooth handling. Its makers say that the vector is 255 lighter than its rival bikes. Also, the battery pack has 30% more capacity.

Price
Obviously, when you have an electric superbike with so many specifications with a futuristic concept, the price tag will definitely get heavier. So, the price of an electric bike is $118,000. In Indian currency, it is a whopping Rs 82 lakhs.
Release and Availability
The Arc vector will be available by 2020. As mentioned earlier, it will be a limited production bike.
Though the bike costs a bomb, it still is a beautiful example of how the human mind is capable of devising such magnificent high-end sustainable bikes category.
