French automaker Peugeot has unveiled a brand new plug-in hybrid SUV. It is the Peugeot GT 3008. This car runs on a combo power of a petrol engine and two motors. The GT 3008 hybrid made its first appearance in 2018 at the Paris Motor Show.

The GT 3008 features a 196bhp 1.6-liter petrol engine. Also, it teams up with a 108bhp electric motor on each axle. This hybrid SUV has an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Peugeot GT 3008 Hybrid can accelerate from 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds. This makes the SUV a few seconds faster than its Vauxhall cousin. If we look at sustainability, GT 3008 emits less amount of carbon dioxide(29g/km).

This hybrid SUV has a 13.2kWh of Lithium-ion battery. This enables a range of 36miles(electric-only WLTP). The charging time is pretty efficient. Using a domestic charger of 7kW it will take less than 2 hours for the GT 3008 to juice up completely.

Peugeot has integrated all the modern features into the HT 3008 hybrid. There the important driver assistance features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, etc.

There is no info on the price of this electric hybrid. As per the hearsays, the GT 3008 Hybrid 4 may start from £35,500.

Next year we may see another plug-in hybrid that delivers a power of 221bhp. It will be a front-wheel-drive hybrid. It will feature a petrol engine of 177bhp and a 107bhp electric motor.
