Popular bike maker Harley Davidson has officially unveiled its series of electric bicycles. These are the company’s first electric pedal-assist bicycles. H-D revealed these e-bikes at its annual Dealers meeting. Harley mentions that these models are basically prototypes. The actual production models will vary. As you can see there are three models of Harley Davidson electric bicycle.
There are two bikes with a step-over frame and the third one with a step-through frame. All of these fit the bill of mountain bikes. They have really large and robust tires.
Harley says that these bicycles are easy to ride. The handling is lighter and performance is fast. The design of these Harley Davidson electric bicycle aims for the urban ride. Currently, there is no information about the pricing of these bicycles. We may expect these e-bikes in the fall of 2020.
Recently, the new Harley Livewire motorcycle created a lot of hype. This electric bike will unveil in india on 27th August. Livewire runs on an electric motor with a power output of 78kW. It is equivalent to 104.6 bhp. It also has a 15.5kWh battery setup. The bike offers a peak torque of 116Nm.
The transition from 0-60km/h on Livewire will take 3.5 seconds. Livewire comes with other features as the ABS, traction control, cornering ABS and front-wheel lift mitigation, etc.
It will be interesting to see what other electric vehicles Harley has under its sleeve for the future.
