Nissan India took advantage of the latest semi-final match between Indian and New Zealand to introduce the Nissan Leaf 2019. It is the 2019 second generation of electric hatchback from Nissan. It is the first-ever offering from Nissan in India under the electric segment. On a global level, Nissan Leaf is already present since 2010.

Adding more hue to its debut, the Nissan leaf powered up the live stream of the world cup match between India and New Zealand. The live stream was set up at the Orion Mall in Bengaluru by Nissan. It did turn out to be a great marketing stunt as the new EV grabbed a lot of attention. Nissan is one of the official partners of ICC for this 2019 World Cup.

The live streaming was possible due to the vehicle’s vehicle-to-home or V2H system. This indicates that the EV can charge home appliances during auxiliary power requirement. One can set the car on charging and also power-up domestic pieces of equipment.

The 2019 Nissan leaf is an efficient electric vehicle in the commuting segment. It may give a tough competition to the Hyundai Kona Electric which also recently marked its entry in the Indian market.
