Opel has finally presented its electric car Corsa-e at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show. It has also launched the Opel Corsa-e rally. At the IFA 2019, Opel’s EVs are on display at the stand D31, Hall 11.0.
The Corsa-e runs on a 100kW electric motor. It offers a peak torque of 260Nm. This EV from Opel offers a WLTP-based range of 330km. Also, this car packs a battery system of 50kW. The battery comes with a warranty of 8 years.
The user gets the option to choose from three driving modes. They are normal, eco and sport mode. The sports mode will consume a lot of battery power. The Corsa-e can reach 100km/h in only 8.1 seconds.
Last month the Corsa-e rally was revealed. Apparently, it is the first electric rally car of the world. Its spec sheet is quite similar to that of the regular Opel Corsa-e. However, it follows a lighter design. This car will take part in the ADAC Opel e-Rally Cup. It may also get on the tracks at German Rally Championship events.
Now, let’s check out what will be the price point of the Corsa-e. it will depend upon the variant you choose. The Corsa-e Selection costs 29,900 Euros. similarly, the Corsa-e Edition will cost 30,650 Euros. There is a third variant the Corsa-e first edition. You can book it for 32,900 Euros.
