Tesla is popular for its efficient electric cars. However, it has also launched a Tesla semi-truck back in 2017. In the current scenario, the Semi is yet to enter the production.

Recently, a Tesla Semi prototype was spotted at the headquarters of Pixar. It was attending an electric vehicles meet. There were other EVs as well apart from the Semi.

According to Tesla, the Semi is a class 8 truck. It has a cargo load capacity of 80,000 lbs. The truck will come with options for two types of range–300-miles and 500-miles. The price of the truck will according to the range option the customer gets to choose.  The lower range variant may cost $150,000. Similarly, the higher-range model may cost $180,000.

Earlier the Semi was scheduled to launch in the fall of 2019. However, Tesla is now focusing on its upcoming Tesla Model Y. As of now, the Semi has been spotted a few time testing out its capability on the road.

Recently, a startup Rivian has unveiled its all-electric goods delivery vans. These vans are quite spacious in terms of goods storage. Rivian will use. The point of saying is when the Tesla semi will launch, it will not be the only electric goods carrier. We will get to see a lot of new and popular automaker butt heads in the market with their respective goods carriers.
