What will happen when the concept of SUV and coupe cross each other.? Well, it will give rise to the Cupra Tavascan. Yes, the first all-electric SUV from SEAT has unveiled. It has revealed ahead of the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show.

It has the presence of an SUV. At the same time, it brings the sleek design of a coupe. It is built on the MEB platform. Cupra Tavascan is the first vehicle to use 100 percent electric powertrain. Hence, it ensures zero tailpipe emission.

The name of the SUV comes from the name of a village in the Pyrenees. This place is popular for its stunning landscape and surroundings. SEAT plans to introduce the Tavascan as a street vehicle with efficient performance.

The Tavascan runs on two motors – one integrated on the front axle and the second at the rear. They release a combined power of 225kW (306PS). This car can accelerate from 0-100km/h in less than 6.5 seconds.

The all-electric SUV houses a 77kWh lithium-ion battery pack. SEAT also claims that Tavascan can easily cover a range of  450km. This is based on the WLTP test cycle. It will offer a dynamic driving experience. Its battery pack is present on the floor of the SUV. Thus, we get a low center of gravity is low.
