Indian population has a great zeal for four-wheelers. Now, with the shift into electric vehicles, people are very excited about sustainable cars and bikes. So, a lot of EV makers are now joining the market. It includes old and popular brand as well as startups. One such budding automaker Strom Motors has come up with a budget electric car. It is a 3-wheeler car which is called STROM R3.

The R3 may release later this year. It offers a range of 80km per charge. The top speed of STROM R3 is 80km/h. This electric car runs on a brushless DC motor with peak torque of 13kw. Also, it equips Dual Chain Rear Wheel Drive. To charge the R3 using a domestic charger, it will take up to 6 hours. However, fast DC charging can charge it up to 80% in less than an hour.

STROM R3

STROM R3 may look compact in design but it is loaded with features. the design reminds of the TATA Nano car.  The car comes with a remote-controlled parking system. It packs the Electronic Regenerative Braking system. R3 makes use of 2 Disc brakes at the front and 1-rear drum brake.

Like any other EVs, R3 has a touch-screen instrument console. Users can operate it with Gestures and Voice controls. It also allows native app connectivity. This means it there will be a dedicated app for the car.

A majority of the public in India commute to their destination every single day. The STROM R3 is perfect for daily commuting purposes. We expect this electric car may cost up to 3 Lakhs INR.

Many popular brands like Hyundai, Mahindra, and TATA are butting head in the market competition with their electric cars. At this point, STROM Motors will surely grab the attention of the people. R3 is a compact commuter, budget-friendly. It packs modern and useful features as well. So, we believe R3 will be a trend-setter in the domain of electric vehicles.
