India’s future in the sustainable vehicle domain looks really bright. Every day some new EV or automaker enters the Indian market. The recent GST rate reduction is opening gates for many manufacturers to produce efficient EVs. The latest one in this list is Srivaru Motors from Tamil Nadu. This EV maker is coming up with a powerful electric motorcycle called Prana.

Prana will have a top speed of 100 Km/h. It will take less than four seconds for the bike to hit 0-60 Km/h. It is interesting to note that the person who heads Srivaru motors is an ex-Tesla engineer. So, we can expect some really high-end machine with efficient performance.

As per the hearsays, Prana will have more torque than the Honda CB300R. Its electric motor will exhibit a power output of 35 Nm. This bike from Srivaru Motors will run on Lithium-ion battery. Prana will be available in three variants on the basis of the range they provide. The base model will be called ‘Class’ to which ‘Grand’ and ‘Elite’ variant will follow.

Some sources further say that the bike from Srivaru motors will have four riding modes and a reverse mode. The upcoming bike may have self-healing paint job on it. You will find this concept on the Kawasaki Ninja H2.

Indian EV market will see a tough competition between various sustainable bikes in the coming days. The Revolt RV 400 is on the verge of launching. There is also the all-electric sports bike Emflux One, which may release in late 2019. So, Prana will butt heads with these two if it enters the Indian market in 2019. As of now, there is no information on Prana’s price in India. We guess it will be on a higher side.
