The Renault City K-ZE electric car has recently launched in China. Back in 2018, it was unveiled as a concept car. It has a similar design to that of the 2019 KWID. The latter will release in India on the 19th of September.

The car claims a range of 271km per charge. It comes with a 26.8kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The City K-ZE runs on an electric motor with a maximum power of 44PS. Also, it exhibits a peak torque of 125Nm. The Renault City K-ZE offers a top speed of 105 km/h.

This design of this EV is similar to that of the KWID sold in India. Both are made up of the same CMF-A platform. However, there is a slight difference in the design. This is to ensure that the powertrain and battery pack fits perfectly. In the upcoming Indian KWID facelift, we may get to see such a similar design.

The City K-ZE supports both AC and DC fast charging. AC charging will replenish the battery up to 100% in four hours. However, DC charging method will be faster. It can recharge up to 80% of the total battery power in only half an hour.

This car also comes with other important features as well. This includes an 8-inch infotainment display. The EV also supports 4G Wi-Fi connectivity. The rider gets to stream online music. He can also access the vehicle telemetry remotely. The air-conditioning in the car comes with PM2.5 air quality sensor. There is also a tire pressure monitoring system in the City K-ZE.

The price of the Renault City K-ZEĀ  is set at 61,800 yuan(INR 6.22 lakh approx.)
