MG Motors India is all set to bring in a new all-electric SUV MG eZS in the country. The Brit automaker has also teased some images of the car on social media. This electric SUV will be the second offering from the automaker after the release of MG Hector. The eZS is already available in the UK.

Currently, we don’t have information regarding the specifications of the Indian MG eZS. In the coming days, we can expect a leak or official reveal of the spec sheet. However, The eZS will feature the automaker’s iSmart next-Gen connected technology.

We do have an idea of the powertrain of MG eZS UK model. It offers a power of 141 bhp. The SUV can exhibit a peak torque of 353Nm. It gets its power from a 44.5kWh Li-ion battery pack. This SUV supports both AC and DC charging. Speaking of which, the eZS can juice up to 80% in only half an hour using a 50kW fast charger. However, with an AC charging set up the SUV will take up to 7 hours to completely charge up. Also, the battery pack comes with a warranty of seven years. Maybe the Indian model will also get similar specifications.

Like other electric vehicles, the eZS will get updates over-the-air(OTA). The SUV may cover a range of 300km per single session of charge. This is quite impressive in terms of performance. Users can rely upon this for long trips. Besides, it can also serve efficiently for daily commuting requirements.

The SUV will be assembled locally in the Halol production facility in Gujrat. So, this indicates that the price of the MG electric SUV will not be very expensive given MG’s brand name. We expect the eZS to carry a price tag of 18-20 lakhs INR. Stay tuned with EVLens to get all the updates regarding the MG eZS.
