India is brimming with experienced and promising EV startups. Rissala Electric Motors Pvt Ltd is one such company. They have launched the new Evolet electric two-wheeler series. Currently, they have launched 3 electric scooters. They also have plans to release electric motorcycles.
The scooters are the entry-level machines from the company. They go by the name Evolet Polo Pony, Polo, and Derby. The Evolet electric two-wheeler scooters are available in both lead-acid and Lithium-ion battery variants.
The three electric-scooters run on BLDC motor. Polo Pony runs on 250watt motor. It offers a peak speed of 25 km/h and a range of 60 km. Polo EZ packs a similar motor as Pony and has a top speed of 25km/h. These are commuter vehicles, so the speed is justifiable for a busy road.
There is another model Derby which is available in two battery variants. These are 60 V/30 Ah lead-acid variant and 60 V/30 Ah Li-ion model.
All the scooters support IoT. There is a smartphone app Evolet that connects the rider and the vehicle. The application will provide the info on battery health, geo-fening, security, etc. It even reminds the user of scooter service dates. The electric scooters come with a fast charger. it guarantees full recharge in 3 hours.
Coming to the pricing, Pony costs Rs 39,499 and Polo costs Rs 44,499. The Evolet Derby starts at Rs 46,499. This pricing is for the lead-acid variant. The Lithium-ion models will be more costly.
