India is stepping up its game of electric vehicles. The concept of the sustainable vehicle is no more limited to cars or motorcycles. Now, people can experience the two-wheeler electric moped from Polarity. These upcoming smart bikes also come with pedal assistance. Polarity will launch its two-wheeler EVs in Mumbai, later this month.

These smart bikes have been under development since 2017. The company will release six unique models of these mopeds. The eco-friendly bikes come in two category- Sport and Executive. The six models go by their respective model code which is S1K, S2K, S3K, E1K, E2K, and E3K.

The Polarity bikes can achieve up to 100Km/h of top speed. They can cover a range of 80 kilometers. The pedals add the advantage to these bikes. In case the smart bikes run out of charge, then the rider can pedal their way to the destinations. These mopeds pack lithium-ion batteries along with hub motors with a range of 1-3kW.

These bikes can easily enter elevators/lifts. One can easily house them in their rooms due to their compact design. If you are a health freak, you can use these smart bikes as exercising tool as well. For that, you need to get a custom polarity stand to mount the cycle and you’re good to go.

The GST rate of electric vehicles in India has come down. Thanks to the GST council, now EV makers can have an upper hand in dominating the automobile domain. India already has witnessed its first-ever all-electric SUV Hyundai Kona electric. Shortly Revolt RV 400 is also going to release. In the future, bikes like Emflux One and Tork T6X will also release.

Now, giving more affordable options of 2-wheeler EVs to the Indian consumer base, Polarity smart bikes will definitely carve a niche for themselves.
