Audi has unveiled a brand new car in its electric segment. This new 4-wheeler is called e-tron 50 Quattro. It is the younger sibling of the Audi e-tron 55 Quattro. The new EV from the German automaker packs a smaller battery unit. The new e-tron 50 will enter production later this year. It will probably begin selling around mid-2020.

Audi e-tron 50 can hit 0-100 Km/h in only 7 seconds. It packs two motors for each of the two axles exhibiting a total power of 230 kW with a torque of 540Nm. Audi claims that this electric car can cover a range of 500 kilometers with a single session of charge.

The base model of the Audi e-tron supports both domestic and DC fast charging. The car can replenish 80% of juice within half an hour with a 120kw fast charger.

Being the base model, all the specs of the new e-tron 50 is lesser than the e-tron 55. It is worth mentioning that the new Audi e-tron 50 will be exclusive to Europe. It will not be available in America.

Currently, there is no information on the price of e-tron 50. In Germany, it may cost a little below 70,000 Euros. The manufacturer wants more Europeans to shift towards sustainable vehicles. Let’s hope that Audi will sell its new electric car in markets other than Europe.
