Indian EV startup Blacksmith is back again with another cool looking two-wheeler. The Blacksmith B3 electric scooter is the new offering from the Chennai-based EV maker.

The Blacksmith B3 electric scooter runs on a 5kW electric motor. It produces power of 19.4 bhp. this scooter has an impressive top speed of 120km/h. In a single charge, it can cover a range of 120 kilometers.

The B3 has a very robust design. It can accommodate two persons on it. In fact, it can support 200kg of load on it. So,  two passengers and some light cargo will go fine with the B3.

The Blacksmith B3 electric scooter will support swappable batteries. Like any other 2-wheeler EV, it will pack a GPS monitoring system.

A number of EV makers are focusing on selling scooters. In India, a number of people commute to their workplace every day. So, introducing a sustainable 2-wheeler. Besides, electric scooters provide low-maintenance. Also, they have reasonable pricing.

The market competition of electric scooters will now get tougher. Recently, Indian automaker Crayon Motors unveiled their affordable Zeez electric scooter. The Indian EV market also houses other manufacturers such as Hero, Okinawa, Ather, etc. So, the startup Blacksmith will face competition from other new and existing EV makers.

By 2025, India may ban all the ICE vehicles. So, a large sect of consumers will prefer these electric scooters.  Sustainable transport will become more widespread in the future.
