Chinese automaker BYD has teamed up with Toyota, the Japanese automobile giant to produce electric vehicles. Along with EVs, they will also manufacture batteries for their electric cars. The joint effort will bring out plug-in vehicles by 2020. This is yet another Electric Vehicle Joint Venture in recent months.

As we are advancing forward in time, people are gradually inclining towards electric vehicles. Pollution is taking over the globe at an alarming rate. So, in the near future, electric vehicles will be the major modes of transport. All major carmakers are starting to give importance to developing electric vehicles. Last month another such Electric Vehicle Joint Venture was revealed between Toyota and Subaru to produce pure battery electric vehicles.

Since 2015, BYD is the numero uno maker of EV batteries and electric vehicles as well. So, teaming up with Toyota will prove a great benefit for the whole EV ecosystem. Toyota has mentioned in a press statement that this collaboration is to battle the Carbon emission and promote the use of electric vehicles.
