India takes one more step towards embracing eco-friendly transportation as the new Hyundai Kona Electric marks grand entry in the country. The Korean auto giant has become the first company in India to launch Kona electric. It is an all-electric sports utility SUV. Hyundai claims that with a single session of charge, this vehicle can run up to 452 kilometers.

It is a CKD vehicle and its spares come from South Korea. The new Hyundai EV costs Rs 25.30 Lakhs INR. It will be available in four color options: Marina Blue, Phantom Black, Polar White, and Typhoon Silver.kona_electrEVLens

The upcoming electric SUV from Hyundai sports a fully digital instrument cluster, which is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It has other notable features such as 10-way power driver seat with lumbar support, electric parking brake and fully automatic temperature control.

Kona comes with a 3-year warranty and 3-year roadside assistance. A user can charge the Hyundai Kona Electric using an AC wall-box charger and portable charger. Like any other electric vehicles, it can also be charged quickly using DC fast charging.
