Also, it makes other vehicles like Triton, Eclipse Cross, Mirage, Space Star, etc. The Asian manufacturer has also a notable stint with electric vehicles.
Back in 2009 Mitsubishi entered the domain of electric vehicles with its offering the i-MiEV. It is the abbreviation for Mitsubishi innovative Electric Vehicle (MiEV) technology. The MiEV uses a Lithium-ion battery pack. This EV later made its US debut in 2012.
Currently, the MiEV has been discontinued. The automaker is now concentrating on its hybrid SUV, the Outlander PHEV. The company stresses the use of the electric vehicle as they provide better torque and efficient performance.
