The Mitsubishi i-MiEV is a five-door electric hatchback produced by Mitsubishi Motors. It is the electric version of the Mitsubishi i. The i-MiEV is the world’s first modern highway-capable electric car. The i-MiEV was launched for fleet customers in Japan in July 2009. International sales to Asia, Australia, and Europe started in 2010. Later in 2011, the sales spread to Central and South America. The Mitsubishi i-Miev model was discontinued in 2017.
It can hit 0-100 km/h in 15.9 seconds. It can give an average of 160 km.
It can get full charge in 8 hours from regular electrical outlets. If you opt for quick charge the i-Miev can get up to 80% in half an hour.
It comes with a total of six SRS airbags to protect the driver and passengers in the event of a collision.
Mitsubishi’s exclusive RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) body construction absorbs impact during a collision.
The i-MiEV’s batteries are placed in a waterproof battery pack that is located inside the body frame and enclosed in a well-crib frame to protect against impact damage from any direction.
With the MiEV Remote System, the remote climate control can be pre-activated to prepare a comfortable interior environment while saving electricity for the drive. A programmable timer charging also lets drivers schedule charging times for the most economical hours. A built-in display also shows the remaining vehicle battery charge.
The i-Miev has now been discontinued. However, if you opt for a used i-Miev then it will cost around $6,995.
