Hyundai has unveiled its first all-electric racing car, Veloster N ETCR. This car has been built at the headquarters of Hyundai motorsports in Alzenau, Germany. The N ETCR will launch in 2020. It has unveiled at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show.
The Veloster N ETCR aims to take part in the ETCR championship. For the first season of ETCR, two N ETCR will be prepared. The car is completely electric. Its motor sits in the middle. It has a rear-wheel-drive system. The testing of this racing car will commence later this month. Hyundai’s own engineers will carry out the testing process. It will be the first time the racing machine will get into action. The automaker was busy in developing this racing car since 2018.
Hyundai’s new racing car‘s design adheres to the regulation of the ETCR. This car will be a new addition to the Customer Racing Division. As of now, there is no information on its battery system. Also, there is no info on its torque, top-speed, etc. This car has a dynamic ready-to-race design. It is a race-specific car. So, of course, it is not street legal.
