Mazda is all set to introduce a brand new electric car at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. The automaker claims that it will be an all-new model. It will not use the body of CX-30 on its new car as the hype goes. However, as per Mazda, the new EV may be a cross between the CX-3 and the CX-5. Mazda also wants to bring full EV and plug-in hybrids in North America.

As of now, there is no information on the release date of this new Mazda electric car. However, we may expect to see this EV in 2020. Till now, this electric car has been sighted only its camouflaged prototype avatar.

Now, let’s see what we can expect from the upcoming Mazda EV. It may pack a battery system of 35.5kWh. So, we can expect it to cover a range of 150 miles per charge.  The car will deliver the power of 142hp(105kW). Also, it will exhibit a peak torque of 264Nm.

There is no information about the price of the Mazda EV. We guess it will take the form of a hatchback or a crossover SUV. So, its pricing may be similar to that of the similar modern-day electric hatchbacks/SUVs. We can hope to see more leaks about the upcoming Mazda electric car in the coming days.
