Honda is one of the largest automobile manufacturers in the world. Back in 2015, it was the eighth-largest automaker in the global front. Along with creating IC-engine vehicles, it has also set foot in the domain of electric vehicles.
The Japanese automaker began with hybrid and all-electric vehicles way back in the late 90s. In 1997, the company introduced the Honda EV Plus with non-lead acid batteries. However, this first all-electric car from the automaker stopped in 1999.
Then it shifted its focus to hybrid electric cars. In 1999 itself, the Insight became first such car in that segment. Again from 2002, the automaker has been producing the hybrid Honda CIVIC, Accord and CR-Z. In 2012, the Japanese manufacturer came up with the Fit EV. It was sold till 2015 and then its production was stopped.
Also, in 2013, the Honda Accord plug-in hybrid was introduced. It is available in California and New York in the US. In Japan, this car is available for leasing to government and corporate organizations.
In this segment, you will find the list of all the modern-day Honda electric vehicles.
